PARKING – Wexford / Ashtonbee Parks

Saturday & Sunday, June 22 & 23, 2019

WE NEED YOUR HELP

This year’s Robbie Festival will be bringing thousands of young soccer players and their families into the Pharmacy and Eglinton avenues area on the weekend of June 22 and 23.

Due to ongoing transit line construction along Eglinton Avenue, we’re going to need your help to make it work.

  • Pack your patience
  • Plan your route to the fields in advance
  • Give yourself lots of time to arrive and park due to what will be extremely heavy traffic conditions caused by possible road closures and lane reductions in the Pharmacy and Eglinton area.

YOU NEED TO KNOW

Construction work along Eglinton Avenue between the Don Valley Parkway and Kennedy Road will make travelling along Eglinton difficult and time consuming. We strongly advise that you try to avoid Eglinton Avenue if possible.

East/west alternates which are NORTH of Eglinton Avenue are Lawrence Avenue, Ellesmere Road and Hwy. 401. Take them to either Pharmacy or Warden and then head south to the Wexford/Ashtonbee Park area.

Pharmacy will be down to one lane in each direction north of Ashtonbee Road for repaving.
Curb lanes will be open to traffic but centre lanes will be closed which means that making a left turn into the Pharmacy Avenue parking lot for those in the southbound lanes will be extremely difficult.

Drivers coming from the SOUTH are advised to try and avoid having to cross Eglinton Avenue at Victoria Park, Pharmacy, Warden, Birchmount or Kennedy. Some of these intersections could be completely closed or reduced to one-lane each way due to construction. Your best options for crossing Eglinton are Midland Avenue to the east and the Don Valley Parkway to the west.

Please note that we know for certain that both Hakimi Avenue and Lebovic Avenue at Eglinton will be closed to north/south traffic on the weekend of June 22/23.

We do not have an exact construction schedule from Metrolinx or the City of Toronto for the Pharmacy/Eglinton and Warden/Eglinton intersections on June 22/23. The most up-to-date construction information can be found at:
