THE ROBBIE TOURNAMENT

July 1st-3rd, 2017

Types of teams accepted:
This is an international event. All elite teams registered and in good standing with their FIFA affiliated association are invited to apply.

The Robbie is designated as a “Selected Charitable Tournament / Festival” by the Ontario Soccer Association. The Tournament is open to teams from anywhere in the world and to ORA academies.

The Tournament regularly features some of the strongest teams from Ontario and beyond.

Format:
11 vs. 11

Roster:
18 players maximum (no exceptions), 4 staff maximum (no exceptions)

Game Duration:

  • Minimum three (3) – 60 minute games (2 games Day One, 1 Day Two).
  • Semi/Quarter Finals are played on Day Two.
  • Finals are played on Day Three.

Details:

  • Registrations close May 15th or as divisions reach capacity – whichever comes first. (Divisions fill up quickly. In previous years, some divisions have closed weeks before the registration deadline).
  • Registration does not guarantee acceptance. Acceptance is confirmed on a first come basis when:
    • Your team’s payment is received by The Robbie, AND
    • Your team’s approved permission to travel document is uploaded to your GotSoccer account.
  • World’s largest annual youth soccer event for charity with proceeds donated to Cystic Fibrosis Canada $1.7 million donated.
  • Referees volunteer to officiate without pay and have done this for 50 years since The Robbie began.
  • Play ‘n’ Stay attractions packages. For out of town teams: play soccer and enjoy Toronto attractions. Follow the link for more attractions information.

  • Teams who have previously registered for any soccer event using GotSoccer must use their existing GotSoccer login.
  • New teams must create a GotSoccer Account to register. Retain login information for future use.

2. Acceptance is confirmed on a first come basis when:

  • Your team’s payment is received by The Robbie, AND
  • Your team’s approved permission to travel document is uploaded to your GotSoccer account.
    • Ontario Soccer  & other CSA member clubs: Approved Permission to Travel is required
    • Scarborough Soccer Association Clubs: Approved Permission to travel is not required
    • ORA members: Approved Permission to travel is not required
  • International  & U.S. Teams – See below for specific requirements

Fees:

  • Regular Fee – $600
  • Note: No per player fees are charged.

Refund Policy:

  • Teams withdrawing from the International Tournament on or before May 15th will receive a full refund minus a $50 administrative charge. No refunds for withdrawals after May 15th.
  • Refunds will be processed via the same format of payment. Refund cheques will take a minimum of 10 business days to process.

Team Check-In Friday June 30th:

  • A team representative must register the team at the Delta East Hotel, The Robbie Headquarters, 2pm-10pm (mandatory) – players are NOT required.
