Thank you for Supporting The Robbie

When the decision was made to cancel the 2020 Robbie, applications were on pace to match recent years, and we projected over 400 Festival and International Tournament teams. While there is no soccer this year, the Robbie will still be making a donation to Cystic Fibrosis Canada. Since 1967 the Robbie has been donating proceeds from the annual Festival and International Tournament, to date almost $2-million.
We want to thank the following teams for donating a portion of their 2020 application fees to support Cystic Fibrosis Canada: Dixie SC G16, GPS Academy B15, Heads United G14, Cobourg Northumberland United B10, Oakridge SC G14, Dorchester SC G14 and Pickering FC G9.

In addition the Robbie thanks the following teams for agreeing to carry over their 2020 application fee to next year: Guelph SC G10 T1 & T2, and Alliance FC G11.

These donations and carry forwards will allow the Robbie to make a larger donation to Cystic Fibrosis Canada while keeping an adequate reserve to cover ongoing operating expenses till next year.
CF is a genetic disorder affecting lungs making it difficult to breath and affecting the digestive system making it difficult for those living with CF to absorb sufficient nutrients. When the Robbie began few born with CF lived long enough to start school. Now some 50+ years later the median survival age in Canada is the mid-50s, but CF is still ultimately a fatal disease.

Those who volunteer with the Robbie every year know that their efforts and the monies donated by the Robbie make a difference in the lives of individuals living with CF and for their families. Than k you again to the teams who stepped up to help the Robbie continue its tradition of donating to Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
